This piece of art features a beautiful peony, drawn with water-soluble inks and pencils.
I love contrasts, which is why I have emphasised them in this creation.
The light yellow outer petals stand out against the deeper pinks within, leading your eye to the greenish-yellow centre.
The background starts as a deep purple and gradually becomes a lighter pinkish-purple near the edges, giving the flower a soft, glowing effect.
I created this artwork by hand on high-quality artist paper. The detailed flower really shows my careful attention to both technique and materials.
The result is an elegant and subtly vibrant image that captures the natural beauty of the peony.
