I have always been drawn to the beauty of nature and spent much of my time exploring the countryside around my home town.

One day, while walking through a field of white roses displayed against the blue sky, I was struck by the symmetry and balance of the flowers. I knew I had to capture their beauty in my art, and I spent hours working on the painting that would become White Roses of York V - Symmetrical Balance.

I used professional-grade acrylic paints on a heavy sheet of Hahnemuehle paper, carefully layering colours and shapes to create a kaleidoscope of nature. I wanted the painting to convey the freshness of the outdoors, and I was thrilled when it was finally complete.
