Astro-Bees are flying

***

Bees from Outerspace is an original surreal painting.

And here is a surreal story:

As a child, Olivia had always been fascinated by the idea of aliens. She had read countless books on the subject, watched every movie she could find, and even made her own alien costumes for Halloween. So when she stumbled upon a surreal painting titled "Bees from Outerspace" at a local art fair, she was immediately drawn to it.

The painting was unlike anything she had ever seen before. The colours were vibrant, with shades of blue, teal, green, and gold all blending together seamlessly. And the subject matter was equally intriguing - bees from outer space, hovering above the Earth.

Olivia couldn't resist buying the giclee print of the painting, even though it was a bit out of her budget. She hung it up in her bedroom, right above her bed, and would often gaze at it.

One night, as she drifted off to sleep, Olivia heard a strange buzzing sound. She opened her eyes and was shocked to see that the bees in the painting had come to life and were flying out of the canvas! They were small, about the size of regular bees.

Olivia watched in amazement as the bees flew around her room, inspecting her belongings and buzzing in a language she couldn't understand. They seemed friendly enough, but she was still a bit scared.

Suddenly, the largest bee flew up to her face and spoke directly into her mind. "We are the Astro-Bees," it said. "We have come from Outerspace to save the Earth. Your painting was a beacon, drawing us to your world."

Olivia was stunned. She had always dreamed of making contact with aliens but never imagined it would be through a painting. The Astro-Bees explained that they had detected a disturbance in the Earth's natural energy field and had been sent to investigate. They needed Olivia's help navigating this new world and finding the source of the disturbance.

Together, they set off on a wild adventure, flying through forests and cities, over mountains and oceans. Olivia felt like she was in a dream but knew it was all too real. And when they finally found the source of the disturbance - a massive factory polluting the air and water - Olivia knew she had to do something to help.

With the Astro-Bees by her side, Olivia rallied her community to protest the factory and demand change. It was challenging, but they eventually succeeded in cleaning up the pollution.

When it was over, the Astro-Bees said their goodbyes and flew back into the painting. Olivia knew that she would never forget this incredible experience, and she would always cherish her artwork as a reminder of the bees from Outerspace and the fantastic things that can happen when you open your mind to the unknown.

The End

I have painted on four times universally primed, handmade, fine-grain linen canvas board with professional-grade acrylics in beautiful blue shades, teal, green, and gold. In addition, I have varnished the painting with high-quality MSA varnish from Golden to protect it against UV damage and airborne pollution.

After I finished the surrealistic artwork, I decided to mount it in a mat. The mat's colour is cream/off-white and fits in regular 30 x 40 cm frames. In inches 11.75" x 15.75".
