Peter's Horse from Healaugh is an original acrylic painting painted on a paper illustration board; it is framed.

Once upon a time, in the small village of Healaugh, there lived a beautiful horse named Cider. Cider was a graceful and majestic animal with shiny brown fur and a friendly personality. He was a favourite among the villagers, especially Peter, a visitor to the village, admired Cider.

Peter, a kind-hearted man, loved spending time with Cider. He would visit him every morning and evening, bringing him apples as a treat. Cider would eagerly await Peter's arrival, neighing in excitement as soon as he saw him.

One day, while Peter was visiting Cider, he took a photograph of him. He wanted to capture Cider's beauty and grace in a picture.

With Peter's permission, I later used it as a reference to paint an acrylic painting on a paper illustration board.

The painting turned out to be quite good, capturing every detail of Cider's majestic beauty. Peter was proud of my work, and I decided to frame it. I mounted it to highlight the painting's beauty and used a simple matte with a satin-finish black wooden frame.

The painting is a reminder of the special bond between Peter and Cider.

Years passed, and Peter's love for Cider continued to grow. He often looked at the painting and remembered the happy times spent with Cider. The painting became a cherished reminder of the beautiful memories that would never fade away.

And so, the painting of Peter's Horse from Healaugh symbolises the special bond between humans and animals, a bond that should never be broken. It is a reminder that love and friendship can exist in the most unexpected places and that true beauty lies in the simplest things.

"Cider" lives in Healaugh (pronounced Helau), a small village in the dales of North Yorkshire. Helaugh is close to Reeth, and Reeth is close to Richmond. And Peter is my husband. :)
