I remember the day I painted that miniature of a bird in flight, the Pelican artwork. It is a small painting, measuring just 13 x 8.5 cm, but it is filled with so much meaning for me. Pelicans have always held a special place in my heart ever since I was a little girl and saw a film about a boy who befriended a pelican.

I remember being just five years old, wide-eyed and captivated by the story. From that day on, pelicans became my favourite birds. So when I decided to try my hand at painting, I knew that a pelican would be my subject.

Working on such a small piece was challenging, but I poured my heart and soul into it. I wanted to capture the majesty and beauty of the flying pelican, to do justice to this amazing bird that had captured my imagination so many years ago.

When I finished the painting and mounted it in a mat, I just loved the result. It is a small work filled with so much meaning and love for the miniature pelican art. And I know it would make an excellent gift for anyone who loves art or birds, just like I do.
