Spring Feeling - small painting
Spring Feeling - small painting

An abstract, original painting called "Spring Feeling" shows yellow blossoms in the springtime against a blue sky. I aimed to evoke the sensation of bright springtime sunshine by using carefully selected colours.
And here is a story about why I have painted it.
My friend Katie had been feeling down for a while now. The winter blues had hit her hard, and she longed for spring's warmth and sunshine. Despite being only November, she couldn't help but dream of the days when the trees were green and the flowers were blooming.
One day, I decided to paint a small abstract painting to help her with her sadness. It depicted yellow spring flowers against a bright blue sky, and Katie couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and hope wash over her as she looked at it.
I intended to bring back a fresh feeling of sunny spring by applying specific, well-chosen colours, which worked. Katie confirmed my intentions. Viewing the painting, she felt like she was standing in a field of flowers on a warm spring day and knew she had to have the image. I gifted her, of course, a giclee print of the artwork. She was delighted!
She brought it home. It is hanging on the wall in her living room, where she can see it every day. She says when she looks at it, she feels her mood lift a bit and begins to feel hopeful again. Spring is still a few months away, but with the painting on her wall, she feels like it is just around the corner.
She realizes that the painting is not just a piece of art but a reminder never to give up hope. No matter how dark and dreary things may seem, spring always comes, bringing new life and possibilities.
I feel happy that I was able to make a difference in Katie's life by helping her battle sadness. This is the reason why I paint to uplift people's spirits and alleviate their unhappiness and sorrow, even if it's just for a brief moment.
This artwork makes an ideal gift for nature, spring, and flower lovers.
I mounted the artwork in two mats (US: matted); the colour of the mats is cream/off-white, the size is 30 x 20 cm, and the whole arrangement will fit in standard frames.
Materials: illustration board, professional-grade acrylic paints, varnish, two mounting mats
Size: 20 x 11 x 0.3 cm, mounted size 30 x 20 x 0.5 cm
Style: impressionism
The artwork is not framed.
The second photo shows the mounted artwork.
