As an artist, I was always drawn to the beauty of Scotland's rugged coastlines and the mysteries hidden within its landscapes. I always wanted to capture the essence of Scotland's natural beauty and share it with you.

One day in September, I decided to take a ferry from Oban to the Isle of Mull, knowing I would find inspiration there. As the ferry made its way through the Sound of Mull, my eyes were drawn to a small, white lighthouse perched atop a rocky outcrop. The lighthouse seemed to be a beacon of hope, guiding ships safely through the treacherous waters of the Sound.

I knew I had to capture this moment on canvas, so I took out my camera and snapped several photos for reference. When I returned to my studio, I began to paint, using the photos as a guide. I chose to work with acrylics, using blue and teal shades to capture the moody, misty atmosphere of the Sound of Mull.

As I worked, I felt a sense of peace, calm and love for the landscape. The act of painting allowed me to connect with Scotland's rugged countryside. I found my muse in the lighthouse from Sound of Mull and was determined to do it justice.

After hours of work, I finally put down the brush, stepped back to check my handiwork, and realized that the small, original acrylic painting captures the essence of the Scottish landscape in all its idyllic, romantic, and mysterious glory.

The painting would make a wonderful gift for all Scotland lovers, so I decided to share my creation with you.

The final result is a beautiful, impressionistic piece ready to be hung on a wall or framed, depending on the buyer's preference. The second and third photographs show how the painting might look on a wall and in a frame, giving buyers a sense of how it would look in their home. The fourth image shows the tiny artwork standing on my giant easel!

Thanks to the lighthouse from Sound of Mull, I found my muse and created a lovely work of art that would inspire others to appreciate the natural beauty of Scotland's rugged coastlines.
